Daniel A. Jackson
(4th great grandson of Aaron I and Marie Dorothee (Thibodeau) Jackson through son Richard Jackson)
Daniel A. (Perry, Percy, William, Richard, Aaron)
I wanted to confirm my findings with a different child of Aaron. Daniel was kind enough to agree to take a test. Here are the results from familytreedna: I'll begin with the known relatives, Allen, Maynard, Allen and Keith.

As I returned to continue adding information, I discovered that Familytreedna has changed how they report matches. They no longer produce the charts like above. For Danial's matches they now have him as matching Allen as a genetic distance of 3, Keith, a genetic distance of 4, Maynard, a genetic distance of 5 and Nathan, a genetic distance of 6. This all aligns with where I would expect to see him as he is a fourth cousin to Maynard, a fourth cousin twice removed to Keith, a fourth cousin once removed to Allen, and a fourth cousin 1x removed to Nathan. These findings show why it is so important to test multiple people as we all get different parts of the dna strand. Notice how Danial and Maynard are only at 25.64% match at the 4th generation but 77% at the 8th. We then note that Danial matches Allen at 66.65% at the same 4th generation. All are known descendants of Aaron as family history shows and multiple dna tests have confirmed. If one used only one or two family members the results could be misinterpreted. Also noted is that all testers are 4th cousins and yet their genetic distances vary, showing again the importance of multiple testing.
