Connecting Oliver M. Jackson & Benjamin Jackson II
DNA shows that Aaron Jackson was related to Oliver M. Jackson and Benjamin Jackson. (see First DNA Clues ) This made me wonder how Oliver and Benjamin were related. Benjamin's mother Patience Prescott is mentioned in The Prescott Memorial, pg. 340 as having three children Joseph, Olive and Betsey. Research shows that she had many more children than that. (see Benjamin Jackson II Children ).
This made me wonder if Olive could be Oliver. Another thought was that if she named a child Olive, did she name a son Oliver. Speculation at best but I will show you how I determined that Oliver M. Jackson and Benjamin Jackson were very closely related.
The 1850 census (below) for Swanville, Waldo, Maine, shows Oliver Jackson, with wife Hannah (Lambert). In this census we see their daughter Eliza Jackson. Eliza is the ancestor of our Ancestry dna match brenn55. (see First DNA Clues )
The 1860 census (below) shows the "M" as middle initial for Oliver Jackson and they are now living in Monmouth, Maine. There is another Oliver Jackson floating around that area. I used the children/wife to separate the two men.

Oliver M. Jackson and Hannah Lambert had a son who doesn't appear in these census records. Horace Seaver Jackson born Feb. 23, 1826, Winthrop, Kennebec, Maine; died Oct. 8 1902, Exeter, Penobscot, Maine.
"Maine Births and Christenings, 1739-1900," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F4H1-M9K : 4 December 2014), Oliver Jackson in entry for Horace Seaver Jackson, 23 Feb 1826; citing WINTHROP,KENNEBEC,MAINE; FHL microfilm 12,299.
Horace Seaver Jackson was living with his grandparents Gideon Lambert and Susanna Fairbanks in the 1850 census, Winthrop, Maine. In 1860 he is living next door to Gideon & Susanna, still in Winthrop. (also see Horace Jackson under children of Oliver M. Jackson)
It is through Gideon Lambert's family that we start to make connections to Benjamin Jackson and Patience Prescott.
Benjamin Jackson and Patience Prescott had a son named Jotham Jackson. Jotham married three times.
His first wife was Mrs. Lydia Marshall.
Ancestry.com. Massachusetts, U.S., Town and Vital Records, 1620-1988 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2011.
His 2nd wife was Augusta Lombard/Lambert (sister of Hannah Lambert). The record for Jotham's marriage says born Monmouth, ME...wife Mary Augusta Lombard also b. Monmouth, ME.....parents Benjamin Jackson and "Elizabeth" Jackson. Mary Augusta's parents Gidean Lombard and Hannah. This is where we pick up the "Elizabeth" as an additional name for Patience. We know that Patience was still alive in 1853 when Jotham got married as she is living with her daughter Harriet (Jackson) Roberts in Brooks, Waldo, Maine, 1860.

In Jotham's third marriage to wife Arabella Lamont his parents are listed as Benjamin & Patience (mn) Prescott). This was listed as his 2nd marriage when it was his third. Her parents not named.

Oliver M. Jackson m. Hannah Lambert
Jotham Jackson m. Abigail Lambert
(In my opinion, grandson Horace Jackson is living with his grandfather, Gideon Lambert thus showing evidence that Hannah Lambert and Mary Augusta Lambert were sisters and that their husbands Oliver and Jotham Jackson were brothers. Quite common in those days for siblings to marry siblings. Thus, Jotham, Benjamin and Oliver were brothers.)
The following image is a closeup of an 1850 map of Waldo, Waldo County, Maine. Through this map we see kin of both men living very closely together.

In the following image, 1850 census of Waldo, Waldo County, Maine, we find Chas Bragdon (family #118) living next door to Benjamin Jackson & Patience (family #117), further confirming that the B. Jackson on the above map is in fact our Benjamin Jackson husband of Patience. Family #116 is Benjamin Jackson Jr. whose name appears on the previous page.

In the same census,1850, Waldo, Waldo County, Maine, previous page, William Durham (son of John Durham, family#115) is living next door to family 116, Benjamin Jackson Jr. (son of Benjamin Jackson and Patience Prescott, who are family #117.) This must be how Harriet Jackson (daughter of Oliver Jackson and Hannah Lambert) and William Durham met.
(In short, Harriet (Jackson) Durham's husband was living next door to her uncle Benjamin Jackson Jr. and her grandparents Benjamin and Patience (Prescott) Jackson.)
