LAMBERT MOVEMENT FROM MASSACHUSETTS TO MAINE
Rev. Gideon Lambert I and wife Susanna Luce originated in Massachusetts. He was born at Tisbury, Massachusetts, Martha's Vineyard; His ancestors were originally from Essex County. He moved to Winthrop, Maine, about 1770; was assessor in 1771, elected at the first town meeting there.
His son Gideon Lambert II:

m. Susanna Fairbanks, Aug. 28, 1802, Winthrop, Maine
In 1810 Gideon Lambert II and Susanna Fairbanks resided in Winthrop, Maine; They moved to Monmouth sometime between 1810 and 1820 as they are found in the 1820 census in Monmouth and no longer in Winthrop. They remained in Monmouth through the 1830 census and then were once again found in Winthrop in the 1840, 1850 and 1860 census.
