Joseph Jackson was the son of James Jackson & Sarah Rice. He married Abigail Laskey (d/o John Laskey & Sarah Rice). His will, 1788--17 Feb. 1790 named his children, Laskey, Mehitable and our BENJAMIN I. (see image #1 under Benjamin Jackson I and Anna Bunker)

Children:
1. Laskey Jackson 1 b. 1750* was living in Durham, Strafford, NH in the 1790 census**. His family was enumerated as 2 males under 16, 1 male over 16, 3 females.
By 1810*** we find Laskey in Township 1 Range 1, Somerset, Maine. His family was enumerated as 2 male 16-25, 1 male over 45, 2 female 16-25 and 1 female 45 and over. By 1820**** and through 1830***** we find that Laskey is now in Moscow, Somerset, Maine. In 1820, his family was enumerated as 1 male 45 and over 1 female under 10, 1 female 16-25 and 1 male over 45. In the 1830 census, the home had 1 male 70-79, 1 female 70-79.
