Private Oren Jackson
"Nearly all of the members of Captain Huxford's Company were residents of Brooks." Sketches of Brooks History by Norwood, Seth W. (Seth Wademere), 1935, pg. 135.
Oren/Aaron's sister Harriet P. (Jackson) Roberts was a resident of Brooks, Waldo, Maine in 1830 and married her husband there in 1834 giving further credence to Oren being Aaron.

Note 1: There was an Orrin Jackson born c.1805 in Maine who was living in Abbot, Somerset County, now Piscataquis County in 1830. He remained there throughout his life as shown in the 1840/50/60/70/80 census records.
Note 2: After researching both men, it is my opinion that our Aaron was the Oren in the Aroostook War. His sister living in Brooks, Maine, where most of the regiment came from along with the fact that our Aaron Jackson remained in the Upper Saint John region after the Aroostook War explains how he got there.
