Nathan Gove Prescott (grandfather to Patience Prescott) had five children, three sons and two daughters, born upon the farm where he settled (Epping, NH). He died Nov. 13, 1825, aged nearly ninety-one years.
Nathan Prescott, Patience's father, was the first child of Nathan Gove Prescott, and was born June 25, 1759. He became a carpenter and went to Monmouth in the province of Maine, but returned to New Hampshire and died at an advanced age. He married Anna Wells and had nine children, four sons and five daughters.

"In 1790 Nathan Gove Prescott, of Epping, N.H., purchased a tract of land containing about 100 acres of General Dearborn, in the new Boston district, where he settled. Mr. Prescott was a brother of Capt. Sewall Prescott. He married a lady by the name of Wells."

Following the American Revolution, many residents of the town of Epping, NH, moved to Monmouth, Maine, following in the path of Gen. Henry Dearborn, an early settler of the town.
"For a long period following the settlement of the Dearborns and their contemporaries, every year brought a stream of immigration from Epping and adjoining towns to Wales Plantation....."

"The town of Epping is located in the northern part of Rockingham County, about twelve miles from the Maine line. On the north and east lie the towns of Nottingham, Lee, New Market, and Exeter, and on the south and west, Brentford, Freemont, Chester, and Raymond. Still farther to the north-west, are Deerfield, Northwood, Epson and Chichester, and about twelve miles southeast on the coast, just off from the Isle of Shoals, lies Hampton.....From them came a large percentage of our ancestors."

Living in Pittston, ME at age 15.
Married in Pittston or Momnouth, ME, abt. 1803.
In 1810 census of Monmouth, ME, she has 3 children under 10.
By 1820, she has 7 children.
In 1830 census she has 3 children in the home.
By 1840, she and her husband Benjamin II are living with last child born, son Benjamin III in Waldo Plantation, Waldo, ME.
The 1850 census finds her and husband Benjamin age 83 and 65 respectively living still with Benjamin III and wife Esther (Roberts) in Waldo, Waldo, ME.
1860 Census of Brooks, Waldo, ME, at the age of 77, Patience is living with her daughter Harriet (Jackson) Roberts.
